At the musical-drama theatre
Today i was at the concert and immediately wanted to write about this because I've got a lot of impressions. So Ari Roland’s Jazz Quartet performed at the musical-drama theatre after N.Zhanturin. I think everybody know about this group which from New York and play jazz from classical golden age. I loved them!
Audience including me and my friends enjoyed the music, and even sang with them and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed. A very successful concert. The unusual was especially drawn to the Quartet’s renditions of traditional Kazakh melodies such as “Kozimnin Karasy” and a lot of anouther kazakh songs, sorry but i dont know the name. But anyway i know these are pieces every Kazakh citizen knows by heart and brings up fond childhood memories.

The concert was a real reminder that music is able to transcend language and culture to bring about a mutual understanding without words. The warm friendly atmosphere was palpable within the concert hall and audience members were reticent to leave.
